The research results presented in the OnEarth article clearly show how quickly an environmental disaster can be turned into a success story. The recovery of the Czech forests following the collapse of Communism occurred in less than a decade (1991-1998). The continued recovery of forest health in this region through to the present is must encouraging. It is truly a "good news" environmental story, and it bodes well for our future. Thanks SARF!
